Acquisition
The Columbia Group (TCG) provides Logistics and Acquisition Management support for amphibious, littoral, destroyer, aircraft carrier, mine warfare, small combatant, and LCAC water craft deployed by the Department of Defense. Logistics and Acquisition Management support is inclusive of naval architecture, fleet life cycle management, acquisition and logistics support, and improvement engineering and design.
TCG also supports Infantry Weapons Systems (IWS) Motor Transportation and Intelligence Systems: including test, evaluation, engineering, acquisition, logistics and fielding support for weapons systems deployed by the U.S. Military.
TCG has extensive Logistics and Acquisition Management expertise for multiple track vehicle programs including amphibious assault vehicles and expeditionary fighting vehicles. Our knowledge covers engineering design and specifications development, establishment and development of acquisition management programs for new classes of vehicles going into production, and establishment of supply chain management programs supporting the production cycle.
TCG is an integral part of the Marine Corps Logistics Modernization (LogMod) team. LogMod identifies capability gaps and helps guiding future computer systems that will make up the new Marine logistics family of systems, Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC). We provide solutions for the outsourcing and consolidation of selected commodities, support Naval logistics integration initiatives to improve both Marine Corps and Navy operations, manage a portfolio of present logistics IT systems, and provide strategic communications to keep the field updated on the recent milestones within the program.
