About The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society
Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Logo The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society's mission is to provide Navy and Marine Corps service members (including retirees and reservists on extended active duty) and their families with financial, educational and other assistance in the form of interest-free loans and/or outright grants. Since October 2001, the Society significantly expanded its Visiting Nurse program to provide long-term case management for injured Marines and Sailors. These Registered Nurses provide ongoing, face-to-face follow-up to Marine Corps and Navy personnel and their families affected by the service member's war-time service in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Arabian Gulf. They are now following more than 560 combat casualty families.
