Ross Lindman, Senior VP

Mr. Lindman is a Mechanical Engineer with over 25 years experience supporting the design of ships, specialized boats and craft, Swimmer Delivery Vehicles, submarines, and unmanned submersibles.

In 1988, Mr. Lindman joined The Columbia Group and transferred to Panama City, Florida in 1989 to take over the Marine Engineering Division where he is currently Vice President. Since then he has overseen the design, development, and construction of the Dolphin Class Swimmer Deliver Vehicle, design of an 800 foot long Roll-On/Roll-Off ship for the U.S. Navy, development of a remotely operated Mini-Trail Flail for clearance of anti-personnel mines, and many other vehicles, craft and systems. He oversees a division that has its own machining, welding and fabrication facilities, including a composites shop and an electronics shop. The Marine Engineering Division specializes in providing engineering, design, development, fabrication, and test and evaluation support for new systems and vehicles. It specializes in turning good ideas into great reality.

Mr. Lindman spent the first ten years of his career with the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering firm of Giannotti and Associates, Inc. While employed there, he held the positions of Engineer, Project Engineer, Senior Engineer and finally Division Manager. During this time he gained valuable ship design and construction experience supporting the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and numerous shipyards.

Mr. Lindman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
