Seaport-e > Dell Marketing
Dell, Incorporated (Dell) is the premier provider of products and services required to build IT and internet infrastructures. Their position as the world's leading computer systems company enables them to provide cost-effective solutions that range from migration and consolidation to messaging, collaboration, high availability, infrastructure performance, Internet business and industry specializations. These offerings are based on the best practices Dell has identified after years of implementing IT solutions internally and for customers under high visibility programs such as NMCI, Air Combat Command, and National Center for Supercomputing Applications.
Dell's success and climb to market leadership is the result of a persistent focus on customer satisfaction – a focus that matches that of TCG. Dell's revenue for the last four quarters totaled $43.5 billion and the company employs approximately 47,800 team members around the globe. In order to ensure there are no OCI's with respect to Dell's performance on the NMCI contract, we will be firewalling Dell away from NMCI-related decision-making roles and using them primarily in a project-based role. Dell's massive Subject Matter Expertise and implementation methodologies will be leveraged by the NAVSEA CIO while isolating Dell from any position that might compromise the "honest broker" role of the TCG Team. Dell will be available to deliver vast stores of best-practice knowledge, but will also be positioned in such a way that their interests and those of the NAVSEA CIO are protected.
