Effective 8 September 2009, federal law requires The Columbia Group to use the Internet-based system E-Verify, operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), to confirm work authorization in the U.S. verifying the employment eligibility of our employees. The information provided by the employee on his or her Form I-9, will be checked electronically in E-Verify against records contained in DHS and Social Security Administration (SSA) databases.
